Evaluating the Impact of Climate Change on Asian Biotas during the mid-Cretaceous: an interdisciplinary field campaign to collect data from southeastern Mongolia
Mongolia contains one of the richest records of Cretaceous sediments and fossils in the world. However, paleoclimate and biodiversity trends have not yet been comprehensively reconstructed for the first half of the Cretaceous and our current knowledge of Early Cretaceous dinosaurs pales in comparison to the Late Cretaceous record. We aim to extend our North-American mid-Cretaceous research across the Northern Hemisphere, to regions of northeastern and southeastern Asia (e.g., Mongolia and Thailand) through the PasSaGE and MAADEx projects.
